I'm new here and am owned by 7 bettas.Most of them have been rescues.I have 3 VT males,Chille,Jack,Georgie,3 vt females,Amelia,ScarlettJ,Starry, and last but not least my king betta Julius. | |

Welcome Marian! I've always wanted a king betta. I'll probably get one once I get a more permanent place Way to go as far as the rescues go! They are really rewarding when you see a fish go from on the brink to back to the jewels that bettas are. Glad to have you around! | |

Maryanne,He is getting hues of color but his body still is a light brownish tan.He was in pretty bad shape when I brought him home.My daughter borrowed my camera then lost it.LOL so the only way for pics is with my phone.The first day I took hm home pic: http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww310/winddancer70/0806091431a.jpg

He looks like he put on a lot of weight and is much healthier! Good luck with him! I always wondered, do Kings eat a lot more than regular bettas? | |

He does eat alot more Maryanne.My other guys get 3 bloodworms in the am and 2 pellets at night.Julius my king betta will eat 8 bloodworms and 3-4 pellets evenings. | |
